Sylvia, once a queen, is betrayed by Howard, who seals their son Shawn with the false saint Linda. Discovering the lie, Sylvia fakes her death in exile, marries Northern King Eric, and returns with an army. She spares Howard, knowing his heart lies on the right. They transform from enemies to comrades as Howard atones by shielding her. Sylvia rescues Shawn and ascends as founding queen; Howard takes the fatal blow for her and dies in her arms. Centuries later, they cross paths at a museum.
